When it comes to the groups you can be in two. Being in Kakkoii Musume is recomended but not a rule. It's the main group here in Kakkoii Princess.
Then you can either be in FruitZ or Ka~waii (or both if you're not in Kakkoii Musume), the groups that cover Berryz or C-ute songs.
The others are special units that you'll be put in for things like special releases and such.
